Gone is the euphoria
The wells poisoned by cholera
Spy hunting public running amok in the streets
The 4th of August 1914
An echo of disharmony
Violent beginning to an epoch yet to end
Legacy of brutality
We live in its shadow, flattened by time
Barbarism is all that awaits us now
WHEN we are ground into reluctant dust,
Unsmiling and unconquered, stubborn still
When the last drop falls, when the dry touch of rust
Benumbs each will
We will step from the boards still valorous, still proud
(Hope for a halo, courage for a shroud)
We will go-but we will go unreconciled
And undefiled

Hands down one of the most unique black metal albums ever. But honestly, calling it just "black metal" is a disservice to this piece of art. The seamless mixture of black metal with Brazilian folk and even some ambient and psychedelic bits is second to none. One of the best all around metal experiences you can ever hope to have. Ryan

From the same mastermind behind Kaatayra and Bríi comes Vauruvã, an atmospheric black metal project in similar folksome fashion, just a lot of more aggressive. I am a fan of the style of music this guys puts out. 7/10 RJ
